Meet Dr. Jack Emmons
Dentistry is my passion, and I am committed to excellence. For me, my profession means that I am trusted with the honor of providing the very best care to my patients. Working with so many unique people on a daily basis is fantastic because it provides a very diverse perspective on life — both my own, and others — that I would not otherwise be able to enjoy.
I feel that I make the biggest difference in people’s lives when I am able to provide treatment that they never would have thought was possible, from elimination of pain or disease to creating smiles for them that they haven’t had since childhood.
Education and Continuing Education
I grew up in Rhode Island and graduated from the United States Military Academy (West Point) in 2000, with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and nuclear engineering. Next I moved to Colorado Springs to serve in the Army with the Fourth Infantry Division at Ft. Carson and performed a 12-month tour in Iraq from 2003 to 2004.
After leaving the Army, in 2005, I attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine In 2009, graduated with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), and have been practicing in Colorado ever since. Over the past several years, I have participated in double the annual requirements for continuing education in Colorado. Much of my training has been in dental implant restoration and placement, and I have also spent numerous hours learning about laser dentistry, modern bonding techniques using modern restorative materials, advanced uses of direct restoration, periodontal therapy, and smile makeovers.
Continuing education enables me to provide the absolute best, most current methods of treatment, which results in healthy, beautiful smiles and happy, comfortable patients.
Family and Community
I love Colorado and consider it home. My son is growing faster and faster, it seems as though he changes with each passing day. We are excited to raise our family in the Lafayette area and be a part of this wonderful community for many years to come.
When I am not working, I spend my time training for triathlons, mountain biking, and building flying model helicopters. I am passionate about my family, physical fitness, and my community.
Community activities are important to me because I intend for my son to grow up here, so I think that doing my part to make the community a better place for everyone provides the greatest benefit for all local families. I sponsor multiple events at the local YMCA and events throughout the City of Lafayette.
